Q Who was the youngest person to die in South Carolina's electric chair?
Fourteen-year-old black youth George Stinney Jr. was executed on 16 June 1944 after being convicted of the murder of two white girls in Clarendon County. Questions about his guilt or innocence and about the trial persist to this day as the all-white jury that convicted him deliberated for only about ten minutes before finding him guilty.
