Ask a Librarian
Q How can I get library ebooks on to my Nook?
If you have a Richland Library card you can checkout and download ebooks to a Nook. To browse our ebook collection, go to "Download it" then click the "O" icon next to ebooks to enter the OverDrive downloadable catalog.
If a book is available, you can click "Borrow" to check it out with your Richland Library card number and 4-digit password. If it is already checked out you can click "Place a Hold" and enter an email address in order to receive a notice when the book is ready for you.
The titles you check out through OverDrive are listed in your downloadable account. You typically won't see them in your regular library account. The method for downloading depends of the type of Nook you have. Instructions for a basic Nook and Nook tablets are below:
- How to download to your regular Nook.
- How to download to your Nook Tablet (Color, Tablet, HD or HD+).
If you have a Nook Tablet, you can also checkout 3M ebooks from Richland Library. Browse the 3M collection under "Download it" then click the 3M logo next to ebooks.
Both OverDrive and 3M ebooks are listed in our regular catalog also along with our print books, DVD, music and other materials.
