Ask a Librarian
Q How do I reserve a book online?
To place a hold on a book go to our website and click "Traditional catalog" and then "My Account." Sign in with your library card number (so spaces) and PIN, which is usually the last 4-digits of your home phone number. Once you are singed in click "Search" and type the author's name into the search box. You can sort your results by publication date or filter by format. When you have found a book you wish to reserve look to the left and click Place a Hold. Click "Submit" to complete the request. Always check to make sure you have the correct PICK-UP location. You will then be on the request list.
If you are first on the list it will take a day or two to pull and transfer the book to your location. Once the book is ready for you to pick up you will be notified by the notification preferences in your account. You can change your notification to email or text if you wish in your account under "Contact Information and Preferences." The book will be held under your last name on the designated holds shelf at your location. You will have 7 days to claim your hold.
