Bad Art Night: Bad Movie Edition

Art has been a near-constant presence throughout the course of human civilization. From the Lascaux cave paintings in France to current artists, man has sought to express himself and his world through art. Artists have crafted works of stunning beauty and power. They have made us think about ourselves, our gods and our place in the universe. Artists, in all mediums, change the world.

Then, there are the rest of us, non-artists.

So we don’t have much skill. We don’t contribute to a zeitgeist. But, we can still make art. The true joy of art is in the creation, not the result. Let yourself have fun– you may just make a work of art.

Or, you can just come to watch Pauly Shore and Brendan Frasier in "Encino Man" on the big screen. Either way is fine with us.

See you there at 7pm on Tuesday, August 20th.
