    When I first heard about donuts being used to explain social media, I decided much research needed to be done on the subject, especially when the "Hot Donuts Now" sign was beaming its sweet, sweet light. Actually, Three Ships Media, a digital marketing company, started the idea of explaining the basic purpose/idea behind popular social media sites using donuts, and then others contributed to the conversation. Even if social media is not easier to understand when explained as donuts, it sure is more delicious to think about!
