Teen Services

Richland Library is redefining the traditional role of library services in the Midlands by offering a fresh, new spaces and programs for teens. 

From creative spaces to recording booths, gaming stations and more, the library’s contemporary, high-tech teen spaces allow teens ages 12–18 to learn, create and share by hanging out, messing around or simply geeking out.

Stop by the Teen Center at Richland Library Main (closed temporarily for construction) or any of our other 10 locations for personalized, one-on-one service, reading recommendations and more.  

Top 6 Ways to Use Your Library Card:

  1. Get homework help from an online tutor right when you need it.
  2. Stream or download six free songs every week. 
  3. Check out the latest video games, graphic novels, comic books and more.
  4. Download books to your Nook, Kindle, iPad, and more!
  5. Find a job or get help applying to college or tech school.
  6. Earn volunteer hours for school credit, college applications, etc.

Teen Advisory Board:
 

The Teen Advisory Board meets once a month to plan programs, help with the website, perform service projects and have fun. Meet teens from other schools who also think the library is cool.

Seventh through twelfth graders are considered, and those who participate earn volunteer hours for their time.
