Library Volunteer Receives Key to the City from Mayor Benjamin

Josiah Washington has been a fan of Richland Library for years. Now, the library is a fan of Josiah Washington!  This Richland Library Junior Volunteer recently appeared on Jeopardy Kids, and also received a Key to the City of Columbia from Mayor Steve Benjamin.

Project Summer Stride: Week Eight

We had perfect attendance for Week Eight. Several children have missed sessions over the past few weeks, but all of the PSS children showed up ready to read this week. We started the day by reading A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon.

# 42 and the Baseball Jeffcoats

The Jeffcoat brothers are indisputably the Midlands' most successful baseball brothers. Charlie, George, and Bill played in the major leagues after each pitched their high schools to a state championship: Charlie at Batesburg-Leesville and George and Bill at Brookland-Cayce.
