Join the Richland Library Krewe

Richland Library will have its very own krewe in this year's Mardi Gras parade, and we want you to march with us!

Columbia's fourth annual Mardi Gras celebration, the Party Animals Mardi Gras Festival, takes place on Saturday, March 1 from 11 am - 7:30 pm, including the parade that rolls out from City Roots at 12 pm. The Richland Library krewe will be there with our Friendly Free-Wheelers, the book trikes generously provided by the Richland Library Friends, and we would love for library supporters to show their pride by walking alongside us. Don your wackiest costume and meet us at City Roots this Saturday!

There will be a Mardi Gras Mask Making program held in the Lucy Bostick Auditorium at Richland Library Main on Thursday, February 27 from 6 pm - 8 pm for anyone who would like to make a mask to wear in the parade. Please register for the event on our website or by calling (803) 231-6352.

Parade organizers have requested that all participants be in place by 11:30 am. There is a cost to enter the festival, but participation in the parade is free. All proceeds from the event benefit The Animal Mission of the Midlands. People of all ages and well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please join us!

For more information, call (803) 231-6352.
