Tune in and start your summer off on a great note!

This June, Richland Library Main will be filled with great live music. Come listen, learn, and earn points toward your Summer Learning Challenge.

SAVVY Chamber Competition   |   Monday, June 5th from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. 

The University of South Carolina School of Music’s SAVVY Chamber Showcase is the nation’s first chamber music competition to evaluate both artistic excellence and innovative event design. Vying for a $10,000 grand prize, four finalist ensembles perform a showcase concert in Richland Library Main’s new auditorium on June 5. This year’s featured finalists are Real Vocal String Quartet (Berkeley, CA), Projeto Arcomusical (Dekalb, IL), BIK Ensemble (Montreal), and The Living Earth Show (San Francisco).

June 10th

2:30 - 3:30 p.m. - Guitar Idol SC (2nd level Theater)

7:00 p.m. - Concert by Maharajah Flamenco Trio (1st Level Auditorium)

June 11th

4:00 p.m. - Concert featuring internationally recognized guitar virtuoso Jesus Serrano

4:30 p.m. - Concert by Southern Guitar Festival Competition Ensemble 1st prize winners W.E. duo (violin/guitar)

Make Music Day   |   Wednesday, June 21st 

A city-wide celebration of the creation of music, no matter how it’s done. Part of a worldwide celebration.

Mike Stone Trio   |   Thursday, June 29th 

Celebrate Black Music Month with the Mike Stone Trio. Mike Stone and the Kritikal Band combines blues, gospel, jazz and R&B to create a musical experience you will not forget.
