Small Business Development: City of Columbia
Tina N. Herbert, Executive Director of the City of Columbia Office of Business Opportunities presented at Richland Library on March 27 as part of our 3rd Small Business Learning Series program. She explored the OBO's program offerings and services, including financing, education and technical assistance, and contractor and supplier diversity.
The goal of the Office of Business Opportunities is "to build a stronger local economy and create new jobs by providing quality services and "value-added" programs while achieving a high return on investment for our clients. Through a variety of innovative approaches and demanded services, the OBO provides the foundation and opportunities for both businesses and entrepreneurs to achieve their goals of self-employment, effective growth, and self-reliance."
