Wishing You Were Out There on the Dance Floor...
If this is you, if you’re the one always sitting at the edge of the room acting like you don’t care or don’t want to dance, but really you JUST WISH YOU KNEW HOW, then here’s your chance to change that!
On July 22, I’ll be teaching the basic line dances that are hot right now at weddings and parties and on cruise ships. This class is designed for beginners! That is, if you are nervous, clueless, uncoordinated, or just inexperienced, this class is for YOU!
Really. I’m teaching it and I’m not a professional dancer, so you do not have to feel intimidated by me. In fact, I’m a formerly nervous and clueless dancer who is still fairly uncoordinated. But with line dancing, I’ve discovered that it is FUN and there’s nothing like the rush of being in the middle of a group of happy people getting down to the beat. I’d like for you to experience that, too, and the goal of this class is for all of you who usually feel awkward to feel comfortable enough to find at least one dance that’ll get you out there to boogie!
Come on out to the Main Library Auditorium on Monday, July 22 from 6:30-8:00 for "Learn THAT Dance!" We’ll toy around with the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble, the Cha Cha Slide, and more, depending on how time goes. No registration required, cameras are banned, all are welcome, and the party starts when you show up!
