Toting his banjo and a song, Peter Picker sets off seeking fame and fortune in the big city. Along his travels, he encounters some familiar fairy tale characters who are also on journeys of their own, including Henny Penny and a hard-working ant. Recipient of a 2017 Jim Henson Foundation Family Grant, “The Pied Picker” features original moving-mouth and rod puppets designed and constructed by puppeteer David Stephens. This production also features Stephens' talents as a banjo player and songwriter. Lots of humor and fun featuring Stephens' signature fractured fairy tale style of storytelling in this show for audiences of all ages.
