Join us as we expand our dyeing repertoire with Turmeric dye. This yields a wonderful, color-fast, bright yellow to golden color depending on the original color of the fabric. We will be coloring cotton handkerchiefs during class. All materials provided*. Please come dressed to get messy, turmeric will permanently stain light-colored clothing.*if you want to bring material from home to dye, please make sure it is small (hankie sized) and has been washed, scoured, and salt mordanted (e-mail Kelsey with questions).

Evans DD754 off the coast of Vietnam as told by survivors in words and song.
