Did you know that representatives from Titan Group, a Federal Lifeline program that provides a FREE cellular phone along with FREE minutes, data, and text messages, are at the Richland Library Main location every Tuesday from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM? They are available to enroll you and answer any questions about the program you may have.A sign-in sheet is posted outside of room 211 on Tuesdays. This program is first-come, first served.Please note that this organization does not always have phones available. They are willing to install a SIM card on many unlocked, SIM-enabled smartphone. You are able to bring your own phone to see if it can be activated. After hundreds of individuals engaged in the Let's Talk Race series over the course of 2017, Richland Library is bringing these facilitator-led conversations to the forefront again. Please join us from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., Monday, August 27 at our Main location (1431 Assembly Street). In an effort to peacefully address the topic of racism, which has gripped news headlines across the country, these conversations plan to encourage members of the community to take part in this difficult and sometimes emotional dialogue. This program is in partnership with Race to the Table SC.The Let's Talk Race series is scheduled to continue in October 2018.
