Join us for an evening with our new Resident Artist, illustrator and graphic designer, Maria Fabrizio. With a passion for process, Maria creates works that are accessible, emotional, thoughtful, and neutral. From her time with NPR drawing The Wordless News, to the adventures of being a new parent, she has lots to share about her process, her art and life as an artist. Maria will be saving some time for a Q&A afterwards. Her works are currently on display in the library's Gallery at Main through February 3rd.

Join us for our public dye vat of indigo! This means you can bring clothing, fabric, yarn, tablecloths, etc. As long as it is clean, fits in the vat, is cloth/fiber and dye-able, we’ll try it. Come to the library for a (virtual) field trip around the world! From the top of Mt. Everest to the depths of the ocean floor, these sessions led by IT-oLogy allow students to engage in virtual reality exploration with Google Expeditions and the Mattel View-Master VR Viewer. Google Expeditions provides access to hundreds of virtual fieldtrips, allowing children to explore natural wonders, outer space, historic events, cities, famous museums and much more. Space is limited and registration is required.This program is provided by IT-oLogy and made possible with grant funding from Richland County Government.
