Caregivers will participate in candid discussions and share their experiences, best practices and concerns related to kinship care. Class description: Tired of ordering Chinese takeout? Learn how to make Chinese takeout at home with some simple dishes that will leave you wondering why you even eat out in the first place. Menu: Pork and Shrimp Dumplings - Orange Chicken - Fortune Cookies. What to expect: • All classes are for ages 18 and up, unless noted otherwise • You will be standing and cooking for most of this hands-on class • Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back • All classes are limited to 16 people and you will work in groups of 4 • You will get to sample the recipes you make • All classes are roughly 1 ½ to 2 hours long **Please Note** Culinary program waivers MUST be signed upon arrival to the program. Any questions about food allergies must be addressed before the start of the program. Recipes and ingredients will not be altered/substituted due to food allergies or diet restrictions. The Kid's Chess Hour is an opportunity for kids of all levels to come together and play and learn the game of chess. Kid's hour is much the same as an adult chess club - but for kids. Sam Copeland (The reigning South Carolina champion and twice South Carolina's high school champion (2002 and 2003)) or another strong chess player will always be on hand to help coach and teach the kids. Games and puzzles will be available.
