Did you know that representatives from Lifeline Wireless, a Federal Lifeline program that provides a FREE cellular phone along with FREE minutes, data, and text messages, are at the Richland Library Main location every Tuesday from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM? Come to the library for a (virtual) field trip around the world! From the top of Mt. Everest to the depths of the ocean floor, these sessions led by IT-oLogy allow students to engage in virtual reality exploration with Google Expeditions and the Mattel View-Master VR Viewer. Google Expeditions provides access to hundreds of virtual fieldtrips, allowing children to explore natural wonders, outer space, historic events, cities, famous museums and much more. Space is limited and registration is required.This program is provided by IT-oLogy and made possible with grant funding from Richland County Government.

Class description: Discover your inner cake decorator! Learn valuable tips on using polymer clay and other decorating techniques that will have you ready to create your own cake masterpiece. What to expect: • All classes are for ages 18 and up, unless noted otherwise • You will be standing and cooking for most of this hands-on class • Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back • All classes are limited to 16 people and you will work in groups of 4 • You will get to sample the recipes you make • All classes are roughly 1 ½ to 2 hours long

Well-known for her expressive self portraits, 20th Century Mexican artist Frida Kahlo suffered a spinal injury in her teens due to a horrific bus accident. Unable to walk or even move as she recovered, Frida's main subject became herself.
