Save Your Catalog Searches
Do you regularly search the online catalog for materials about your favorite topic or by your favorite authors, actors, directors or musical groups? Then you may a want to think about saving your catalog searches.
Registered customers can save any search except browse searches, and have the saved searches run automatically either weekly or monthly. The results of those saved searches will then be emailed to the customer allowing them to keep up with your favorites as they are added to Richland Library's collection.
Follow the steps below to save a search or check out this screencast tutorial if you need additional help.
Run a search on your topic, author, etc.. You can search in a variety of ways including Keyword and Advanced. Keyword searches allow you to sort and advanced searches allow you to give more specificity to your search. Please note that you can save any search except browse searches.
Once your search has run, the Save Search button appears in the top right column. Click Save Search to complete the process.
Complete the Save Search Form. Give the search a name. You can receive notification of materials added to the collection on a weekly or monthly basis. Click "Save Search."
When new items fitting your search are added to our catalog a list of titles will be emailed to you. A list of your saved searches can be viewed, edited or deleted in your Account.
