Freegal Music Service for Richland LIbrary
Freegal is a downloadable music service for library cardholders. You may download three songs per week and they are yours to keep forever. Songs can be downloaded from a computer using the Freegal website or from an Android or iOS mobile device using the Freegal app.
Things to Know about Freegal
It is a downloadable music service, like iTunes, but from your library. All you need is your library card number and PIN. With access to the Sony Music Entertainment catalog, it offers hundreds of thousands of songs, over 100 genres of music, and more than 50 record labels, all without having to download special software or have any digital rights management (DRM) issues to deal with.
You are a given 3 downloads per week. The downloads are per song and not per album.
Songs are in MP3 format.
No holds. Unlimited number of copies available. If you have downloads left you can download any song you like without waiting.
If you have problems downloading, you can redownload the title up to 2 times within a 2 week period without it charging against your download limit.
The download count resets every Sunday night.
There is some delay for new titles, but usually not more than a couple of weeks.
