Hundreds of Helping Hands

During the 28th annual Volunteer Recognition Awards, held April 28 at the Lourie Center, Richland Library shined a spotlight on valued members of our team.

We were honored to present 16 bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for 100+ hours of service, six silver Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for 250+ hours and five gold Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for 500+ hours.

In addition, three volunteers were nominated and received special distinction for their dedication and support of Richland Library:

Hannah Frances Welch - 2016 Youth Volunteer of the Year
Priscilla Li - 2016 Teen Volunteer of the Year
Lynda Kuntz - 2016 Adult Volunteer of the Year.

Volunteers are the heart of what we do, giving countless hours of their time to further Richland Library's mission while providing customers with experiences that inspire, inform, and entertain. Throughout the fiscal year, 2015 - 2016:

570 volunteers served our 11 locations.
Volunteers provided almost 7,500 hours of service.
The monetary value of their service totaled more than $61,600.

Congratulations to an incredible group of volunteers! Your impact on Richland Library and the entire community is invaluable.
