Introducing the New Interlibrary Loan

Exciting changes are happening to our interlibrary loan procedures in order to make the process easier for you! Beginning today, August 18th, all new interlibrary loan requests will be processed through our checkout system. These improvements will make it faster for you to receive your interlibrary loan items and will enable you to view your interlibrary loans online along with other items you have checked out from the library.

What do the improvements include?

  • Pickup notices will be sent using the same notification system that we currently use for Richland Library holds. This means you will receive a phone call or email message to notify you that your interlibrary loan is ready.
  • Interlibrary loan materials that are being held will now be available for you on the holds shelf along with any holds that you have placed on Richland Library items.
  • You will now be able to check out interlibrary loan items through our checkout desk using your library card. *Please note that the self-check out stations will not be available for interlibrary loan items.
  • Interlibrary loan materials will now show up in your online account. You can view the books you have checked out and see when they are due back by signing into your account here.
