Volunteers Set the Stage for Storytime
Did you know that three of our library puppet stages were constructed by volunteers? Storytimes are one of our most popular programs and we want only the best when it comes to introducing young children to the wonder and excitement of stories and storytelling. When Evan Pinson and Richard Webster found out that we were in need, they offered their assistance to build puppet stages for some of our branch locations. As you can see, our newest puppet stage at St. Andrews is already enthralling some of our youngest storytime participants. You don't have to be a handyman or construction expert to be a volunteer. There are many ways our volunteers impact our services and assist us in meeting the needs of our community. From sorting books, assisting with computer classes or representing the library at a neighborhood festival, Richland Library volunteers are one of our most valued resources.
