Richland Library Friends’ Fall Book Sale

Midlands residents will have two opportunities to get the best deals in town on books, DVDs and more at the Richland Library Friends’ Fall Book Sale this weekend!

The Friends’ Fall Book Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 19 at the Richland Library Operations Center, 130 Lancewood Rd. A preview sale for Friends’ members only will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 18. (Memberships, which start at only $25, are available at the door.)

Book lovers, bargain hunters and holiday shoppers can choose from thousands of print and nonprint materials in all genres, from fiction and nonfiction to children’s books and other rare finds. Prices start as low as 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for hard backs.

Last year, the Friends’ Book Sales raised more than $80,000 to support special programs and services not available through the library’s budget appropriation from Richland County.

The Richland Library Friends is a nonprofit organization charged with raising awareness of and support for the library. For additional information on membership or the annual book sales, call (803) 988-0885.
