Social Media and Grandparents.....

So I am a first time grandmother and enthralled with my granddaughter. Therefore every chance I get I am taking and sending photos of her! Thanks goodness for Facebook and cell phones with texting capabilities. I can share photos instantly with family and friends. In addition, I can download those photos to my Facebook and email accounts, so even my brother in Illinois and my dad in Florida can see how fast my granddaughter is growing. Also my photos are stored either on my phone or in my Facebook account. This means they are always at my fingertips in case I need something to bring a smile to my face.

As of this moment, I do not have an account on Instagram or Tumblr but as more grandchildren come, I am sure I will be broadening my social media skills with these types of applications.

Right now, the library has several items that can teach or even refine your social media skills. Check them out and move into the digital age!
