The Ins and Outs of LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a powerful online networking tool that offers job seekers an entirely different way to find a new job. It gives users a virtual introduction to people in companies or industries they are interested in, as well as hosting thousands of forums that cover all aspects of finding a job - resumes to interviews, applications to follow-ups.
Jumping right in to such an established internet community can be intimidating, especially for those who are already struggling in this job market. On Wednesday, September 18th, Richland Library Northeast will be offering a class all about LinkedIn.
Trevor Auman, a recent Yale graduate and library volunteer, will be teaching The Ins and Outs of LinkedIn: Tips and Tricks for Jobseekers. He will cover topics including networking, searching, groups, and forums. After his presentation, there will be the chance to work on your own LinkedIn profile.
