Toddlers: Two and Three Year Olds

"By the time a child is 5, he will have heard 90% of all the words that he will ever know.” Jim Trelease, The Read Aloud Handbook

The first five years are the most important in a child's vocabulary and literacy development. Read to your toddler every day. Fill your home with library books - you can checkout 60 at one time! Come to storytime each and every week.

Toddler Storytime for two and three year olds: Help your toddler discover the alphabet, numbers and other concepts while building social skills and learning about our world.

The more books your child hears, the more words he will learn and the stronger reader he will be when he starts school. Richland Library is here to help your child learn to love books and reading, so come visit us for storytime and check out some of these great books for two and three year olds.
