National Women's Health Week
Women’s Health Week(WHW) kicks off today and is celebrated through May 20, 2018. WHW is led by the Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health, who’smission is to encourage women to actively make their health a priority (Office of Women’s Health, 2017). During this week I will be highlighting upcoming events in Richland County to participate in as well as specific ways to find resources in the area.
Ways to pursue a healthy physical and mental lifestyle:
· Get regular wellness checkups and preventative screenings including Pap smears and mammograms
· Stay physically active and maintain a healthy diet
· Tend to mental health by getting enough sleep and managing stress
· Practice safety by always wearing a seatbelt and not texting while driving.
