Spending lots of time travelling this holiday season? Well, stop by the library for some of these great new picture books that will provide lots of entertainment for your little ones!
In Janet Stevens’ Find a Cow Now, a restless cattle dog just can’t stand his life of napping anymore! As he is going stir-crazy in the house, the family bird tells him to “find a cow NOW!” In his pursuit of finding a cow to herd, he meets lots of other interesting animals along the way. Since he has never seen a cow his attempts to herd the other farm animals will leave the reader laughing throughout the book. Discouraged and disheartened, dog heads back to the city with the help of a mysterious and kindly animal. More chaos ensues before the new friend reveals her identity--as a cow!
A great read aloud for Pre-K through Kindergarten.
