And the Teachers Said, “That’s Great!”
Last summer I had the pleasure of sharing with a very bright group at the SC Midlands Summit, an intensive 2-day technology conference for teachers. I talked with the teachers about the online resources available to them through Richland Library, and the comments I kept hearing fell along the lines of, “Oh, I didn’t know that! That's great!”
What were they so happy about?
African American Experience. NewsBank. Career Cruising. Reference USA. These are some of the excellent reference tools that Richland Library provides that they won’t find through SC DISCUS, which they’re accustomed to using at their schools.
Several of the databases we offer are some of their old Gale favorites that DISCUS discontinued last year. Remember Literature Resource Center? US History in Context? We’ve still got those, and more!
Teacher cards! Yes, for any Richland County teacher, all of our library resources are available to you! Cards are free for Richland County residents, and only $10 for Richland teachers who live out of the county.
