More Than Turkey and Football

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I'm counting down the days! While I'm looking forward to the turkey, cranberry sauce, and football, I'm more excited about my favorite family tradition - games!

Before and after dinner, my extended family (including some friends who are close enough to call family) gather around the table for a wide variety of games. We play cribbage, rummy, and dominoes, as well as a few board games. We laugh and tease each other and have silly rivalries - oftentimes that change sides as quickly as they're formed.

This year, I hope you'll adopt my family tradition as your own. Get together and celebrate being silly, just for the sake of being silly. Be thankful for the time you have together, and for the luxury of having nothing be more important than winning the next hand. It will make you feel closer, happier, and the day will fly by.

Here are some books to get you started.
