Summer Learning Track: Learn a Foreign Language
Learning a foreign language is one of the most common goals you will see on bucket lists. Although is always recommended to be introduced to a foreign language at early age, several studies have shown that learning a second language at adult life brings great benefits to your brain. Teaching yourself a foreign language can be hard, and it takes a lot of discipline and time. Trust me on this one! Been there, done that! But it can be fun too, and in the end you will see that it's time well spent!
How about treat yourself with a new challenge this summer? The Library has several resources to get you started, or to help you improve what you have learned so far. It doesn't matter which language you pick. Once you have chosen one, check out some books, watch some movies in that language just to get your hearing accustomed to it; listen to music and get the lyrics to sing along, or come to the programs listed below. There are so many different ways to learn! Keep in mind that it takes time. Just get started, and have fun!
