Indulge your senses in a vibrant celebration of local flavors, crafts, and community spirit at The Market! Join us for a day of exploration and delight as we showcase the best of our region's talents, treasures, and tastes. Participating vendors this week are:
Local Author Showcase: Tacardra Rountree (10am-2pm)
Tacardra Rountree is a native of Augusta, Georgia. She is an educator, author and inspirational speaker. Rountree has her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Fort Valley State University and her Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota.
She is the author of Writings From Down Through the Years (a book of inspirational poetry and readings), Hello Queen (a positive affirmation children’s book for girls), Hello Queen A Positive Affirmation Journal for the Queen in You (a journal for women), Hello King (a positive affirmation children’s book for boys), Hello King A Coloring and Activity Book for Boys, Hello Queen A Coloring and Activity Book for Girls, and Quotes and Hashtags for Life’s Journey A Guided Journal.
Hello Queen, illustrated by Audrey “Sala Adenike” Jeter-Allen and Hello King are available for check out from our Local Author Collection.
The Crafting Corner (10:30am-1pm)
Join us and Anna Brannin at the Crafting Corner during the Market. She is a owner of Sunnyside Prints, a small crafting business based in Columbia, SC., specializing block printing. She designs tea towels, postcards gift tags and more. This week we will be designing bookmarks in celebration of the Summer Learning Challenge. Participating in this event checks off the challenge of making something at a library location. This will be fun for all ages. See you there!
