Looking for a way to enhance your community through your passion for knitting? St. Andrews Sew Divine has got you covered!
For the second time this year, Sew Divine at St. Andrews is making a sizable donation of knitwear to an organization in their community. Received by the executive director of the SC Cancer Alliance, Henry Well, this talented group of ladies donated 175+ hats to cancer patients. Initially planning to give them all to Orangeburg, a hospital in Florence requested some of the items as well.
Well received the donation at a small reception at Richland Library St. Andrews. During which, he made it known how much each of the hats are needed. Although it's summer, the warm hats are welcomed year-round by many cancer patients due to hair loss.
Sew Divine is a program hosted by multiple Richland Library locations where people can learn, create, and share their passion for yarn and textile arts.
St. Andrews Sew Divine meets every Thursday at 10:00 am. For Sew Divine groups at other Richland Library locations, check out this link!
