Take a break and give bhangra dancing a try.

Whether it's a history essay or a creative writing assignment, it's easy to feel stuck.  The more you sit in front of a blank screen; the more overwhelmed you can feel.

Getting up and moving can help you get the gears turning.  Take a walk around the block or try bhangra dancing--even just 5 minutes can help.  You'll come back refreshed and ready to tackle your next assignment.

Meet Gurdeep Pandher

Gurdeep Pandher is an IT specialist and a Canadian dance teacher.  He embodies pure joy when he performs bhangra dancing.  That joy combined with breathtaking views make for a perfect break from your day.

Check it out and you'll see what I mean:

The Return of Sunshine | Bhangra dance at Yukon River

If you're not quite ready to go full bhangra, here's some videos where Gurdeep breaks down some basic steps:

Now that you've gotten up and moving and your creativity is flowing, consider submitting your original art or photos, poems or stories for possible inclusion in Richland Library's literary magazine, Kids in Print.

Contributors must live in the Midlands and be 6-18 years-old for consideration.
