What better way to spread some holiday cheer than homemade hot cocoa mix? This recipe only takes four ingredients and is easily customizable.
You will need:
1 ½ cups dry milk powder (I found this at Walmart),
½ cup granulated sugar,
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons cornstarch
Optional: Clear craft ornament for gifting
Directions:
Sift ingredients together in a medium bowl and pour into an airtight container.
To make hot cocoa, heat 8 oz of milk and 3 tablespoons of cocoa mix together in a saucepan over low heat for two or three minutes, until the milk starts to steam. Then pour in your favorite mug and top with marshmallows, whipped cream, or sprinkles!
Try putting in one serving worth of cocoa mix and some toppings into craft ornaments for a beautiful, quick gift!
