Updated March 23, 2021, at 9:55 a.m.

Keep practicing these safety measures

•    Wear your mask in public
•    Get tested and stay home when you are sick
•    Avoid large gatherings of people
•    Practice physical distancing - stay six feet apart from others

Know your phase

The COVID-19 vaccine supply is currently limited. DHEC encourages everyone to be patient, to learn what phase you are in, and to follow the guidance of our public health officials. View full DHEC’s full phase plan here.

Not sure where you fit? Call the DHEC COVID-19 Vaccine Information Line: 1-866-365-8110

Be Proactive

South Carolina has two main portals for registering: VAMS and Prisma MyChart. You can read up on the VAMS process here or be proactive and register for a Prisma MyChart Account here.

Once your phase is eligible, find a COVID-19 Vaccination Site

Take Care of Yourself

  • Take care of your body.
    • Take deep breaths, stretch, and/or meditate
    • Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
    • Exercise regularly.
    • Get plenty of sleep.
    • Avoid excessive alcohol, tobacco, and substance use.
    • Continue with routine preventive measures (such as vaccinations, cancer screenings, etc.) as recommended by your healthcare provider.
    • Get vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine when available.
  • Take time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy.
    • Try this Mindful Drawing Technique
    • Draw Your Happy Place
  • Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
