I enjoyed this movie in many ways because unlike most other formats western are straight forward in their plots. You know the good guys and bad guys pretty quickly and can enjoy the outcome without a surprise twist from a character's point of view in the end. Not much action but plenty of character appreciation from a moral perspective.

A former captain (Jefferson Kyle Kidd) makes a living after leaving the army by reading non-fiction articles to the public. On his journey he runs into Johanna, a 10 year old who was raised by Native Americans and is now alone by the side of the road. He decides to bring the girl to an aunt & uncle. Their journey brings them closer together as they face many challenges along the way. The outcome is satisfactory on many levels. Enjoyable movie.
