Make 2021-2022 the school year where you work smarter--not harder. Richland Library is here to help with great, free resources that will make high school child's play.
With your Richland Library card, WiFi and device, you can access all of these resources and much, much more!
Tutor.com - A great service for after-hours or one-on-one help in math, social studies, science and English. I often recommend the 'drop off a math question' or 'submit a paper for review.' You can access it 24/7!
Learning Express - is a one-stop-shop for standardized test prep (ACT, SAT, PSAT), AP exams, GED test prep, career and workplace exams.
Britannica Library - This online encyclopedia as an is a great alternative to Wikipedia and Google searching. Britannica also offers tools to help students understand and navigate the research process.
Transparent Language Online - Offers over 110 language courses (including those commonly offered in high school). Language learners can build vocabulary, practice skills, and maintain what they have learned. This platform also offers ESL/ELL courses for speakers of over 30 languages.
Writer's Reference Center - is great for checking your grammar, but also for learning about writing tone and style. This database includes a dictionary and thesaurus, as well as tips to help students navigate the writing process from beginning to end and guides to different types of written documents (essays, emails, letters, even tips on 'delivering bad news').
Want help with all these resources and more? Stop by Richland Library Main to visit our Teen Center anytime the library is open!
When you're all done with your assignments, check out our book lists for your next great read or ask for some personalized recommendations from your favorite librarian.
And don't forget you can:
- Stream a horror movie (or rom-com--whatever you're feeling)
- Download new music
- Connect with other teens or meet your favorite author virtually
All with your Richland Library card!
