Check out these NEW titles added to our collection in 2020 and 2021 that feature Native American or Indigenous writers and characters for young readers! Which will be your new favorite?
This past October 11th, 2021, President Biden proclaimed it to be the very first National Indigenous Heritage Day to recognize and honor America's deep ties and gratitude to the original peoples and sovereign nations. This year, Secretary Deb Haaland made history when she became the first Native American Secretary of the Interior. Today, more than before, we have so many more native writers able to share their stories and diverse characters from real perspectives. November is Native American Heritage Month, but supporting and celebrating diverse voices should be everyday!
