Kids in Print 2026

Congratulations to the artists and authors featured in this year's edition of Kids in Print!

Children and teens, ages six to 18, have shared their poetry, stories, short plays, essays, drawings and photographs with the library. Our staff received more than 300 submissions and selected 69 contributors to feature in this year's edition.

This annual literary magazine showcases the talents of young people across the Midlands and this year's edition is the 31st publication.

Kids in Print 2026 is in the final stages of design. We will celebrate with a launch party on Saturday, June 20 at 3:00 pm at Richland Library Sandhills, 763 Fashion Drive Columbia, SC 29229.

The library is pleased to formally recognize this year’s contributors and their work at this special event with an original performance based on this year’s magazine and featuring the talents of professional actors. An autograph session will follow. Artwork from Kids in Print 2026 will also be displayed Friday, June 19 - Friday, July 31 in the community gallery at Richland Library Main.
