Renewing Materials
Most print items, with the exception of Fresh Picks or other heavily requested titles, will be automatically renewed up to five times.
You may renew library materials:
- Online through your Richland Library account
- In person at any library location
- By phone at (803) 929-3425
Holds
You may reserve items online or by calling your favorite library location. We'll let you know when the item you requested is available for pickup.
Holds placed online are pulled within two days if the item is available. Want it sooner? Call the library location where the item is located and they'll happily pull it for you.
On the go? Holds pick-up has never been easier from our Ballentine, Northeast, Sandhills and St. Andrews locations. Simply cruise through the Pick Up window and be on your way.
Returning Materials
Items may be returned to any of our locations. As an added bonus, outside book returns are available 24 hours a day at all locations.
Lost or Damaged Items
A cardholder is responsible for all materials checked out on his or her library card. Parents are responsible for items checked out by their children.
The charge for lost or damaged materials is the value of the item, plus any applicable fees. Excessive charges for overdue, lost or damaged materials will result in a loss of borrowing privileges.
To view fees associated with your library account, simply ask a library staff member or login to RichlandLibrary.com, click the My Account button and view My Fees.
Lost or Stolen Cards
Report loss or theft of a card promptly to avoid its unauthorized use; the cardholder is responsible until the loss is reported. There is a $1 fee to replace a lost card. Report lost cards by calling (803) 929-3456.
Change of Address
To change the address and phone number on your account simply update your profile online or call (803) 929-3456.
