The first tells the tale of a small-time black marketeer, who cares little about the war but unwittingly becmes involved with the Polish Resistance. In the second story, Polish military prisoners battle boredom and despair in a prison camp. One inmate makes a brave if foolhardy attempt to escape, giving hope to the other prisoners"--Container.
