Decorate! Smash! Fix! Join the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in this fun mini archaeology activity where participants decorate small ceramic pots and "accidentally" drop them... oops! Using glue, a brush, and puzzle power they reassemble their artifacts just like archaeologists in the lab.

Trowels, shovels and screens, these are just a few of the tools needed to dig up artifacts from the past as an archaeologist. In this program archaeologists will walk through what they carry with them for excavations. Participants will have a chance to practice screening for artifacts, and using tools found in every archaeologist's field bag.
