The Archaeology of Columbia and the Midlands as Seen From Gills Creek
Christopher Judge, archaeologist at the University of South Carolina Lancaster, will illuminate the history of Columbia and the Midlands via the fascinating archaeology of Gills Creek.
Judge has been studying Native Americans in South Carolina for more than thirty years, and is an expert in the anthropological archaeology of prehistoric cultures in the southeastern United States, with an emphasis on South Carolina. Some of his areas of interest include the Woodland and Mississippian periods, ceramics, theory, public education, and folk music.
