Palmetto LUNA Arts Collection: Ten Years in the Making
Friday, September 6, 2019 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Join us for a lively opening reception of 10 Years in the Making, The Palmetto LUNA Arts Collection--featuring live music and a community art project conducted by artist Diana Farfán.
From New York City to Mexico City, Palmetto LUNA Arts has brought Latinx artists to South Carolina and provided them a space for dialogue with the Latinx community here in our state, while at the same time developing an understanding of Latino arts and culture among the general public.
Featuring works from the Latino Arts Collection, this show is the result of ten years of collaboration with artists such as Valerie Aranda (USA), Edgar Cano (Mexico), Ernesto Cuevas (Mexico/USA), Diana Farfán (Colombia), Alejandro García Lemos (Colombia), Laura Lesslo (Mexico), Eliana Pérez (Colombia), Pedro Rodríguez (Puerto Rico) among others.
The exhibit will run in the Gallery at Main from September 3, 2019 – September 27, 2019.
This exhibit is made possible through the generous support of the Central Carolina Community Foundation.
