Teen Talk: The Youth Perspective
Saturday, January 30, 2021 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
A candid discussion of life seen vicariously through the eyes of teenagers. Teens discuss how the effects of COVID-19, current racial tensions, and the new norm from 2020 have impacted their mental well-being, and how they are coping with it. With YouTuber Briana T. Ford and Mental Health Specialist, Taurus Sanders.
Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, and providing counseling services to children, adolescents, teens and adults, Mr. Sanders spent over fourteen years as a police officer.
The training and experience responding to crisis and traumatic situations has afforded me the ability to understand and respond effectively.
- Taurus Sanders, MA, LPC, LPC-C, LAC, SA
Currently a Research Analyst at the University of South Carolina Institute for Families in Society, Briana has a passion for empowering her community, especially younger generations, by dialoguing about topics that matter like public health, civics, and "adulting".
