We're providing an opportunity for local residents to be civically engaged by chatting with members of Richland County Council.
Meet with South Carolina Senator Darrell Jackson, serving District 21, and Richland County Councilmember Cheryl English, serving District 10. Both leaders are available for one-on-one conversations to discuss issues impacting residents of Lower Richland, answer questions and address concerns.
Call the Richland County Clerk of Council's Office at 803-576-2068 and secure your spot ahead of time, or visit our Eastover location on the designated date and sign up for an individual meeting. Each meeting is slated for 10 minutes.

Cheryl D. English represents District 10, which includes parts of Lower Richland and Northeast Richland.
Born in Texas, English has lived in South Carolina since 1976. A 1983 graduate of Lower Richland High School, English graduated in 2000 from Coker College, majoring in sociology with a minor in business administration and a concentration in criminology. In 2002, she graduated from the University of South Carolina with a master’s in social work.
English has served the state for more than 30 years in various positions, having worked with the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control as well as the S.C. Department of Mental Health as a counselor for children and adolescents. She currently serves on the S.C. Developmental Disabilities Council and is a licensed, ordained minister. She is an associate minister at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Hopkins.
She remains involved in her community, serving on the Lower Richland Sweet Potato Festival Committee and the Richland Library Board of Trustees.
