Richland Library is excited to bring back this popular outdoor art exhibition series!
Local Artists will be at library locations to meet and greet customers and community members from their own neighborhoods and exhibit their works each month this Fall.
Our Pop-Up Art shows are intended to highlight the work of local, emerging visual artists and their unique personal ties to the specific communities where our libraries are located. Stop in to meet the artist, browse the art or make a purchase.
In the event of inclement weather, this Pop Up will be rescheduled.
Exhibiting Artists this month:
Ron Hagell is an artist whose works have been exhibited at Artfields for several years. His work is based on social issues, portraiture and dance. Recently Ron has created bold portrait works in acrylic on canvas as well as images from his dance films. He lives in Columbia, SC, and has a studio at the Tapps’ Outpost in Five Points.
Christopher Scott Alford is a freelance artist residing in Columbia, SC who found his connection with art at an early age which has led to designing graphics and websites in the art program at South Carolina State University. His sequential illustrations, paintings, photographs and digital designs are influenced by current world events, nature, hip-hop and children's animation.
