Richland Library Blythewood
Canceled: Pop-Up Art Show
Saturday, May 20, 2023 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Pop-Up Art Show connects local artists with their community.
Local Artists will be at library locations to meet and greet customers and community members from their own neighborhoods and exhibit their works each month this Spring.
Our Pop-Up Art shows are intended to highlight the work of local, emerging visual artists and their unique personal ties to the specific communities where our libraries are located. Stop in to meet the artist, browse the art or make a purchase.
Exhibiting Artists this month:
Tennyson Corley
Tennyson Corley explores the illustrative qualities of clay with her sculptures, or as she calls them, ceramic illustrations. Each ceramic illustrations comes with its own story similar to that of a children's book, but for adults.
Alyssa Thorn
Alyssa Leigh Thorn is a visual artist based in Columbia, SC and recently received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the University of South Carolina in 2020.
Her work revolves around cyclical time, connection, memories, and significant place, pushing others to understand feelings, emotions and memories outside of their own, and find a feeling of connection to the world and people around them.
Please note: In case of inclement weather, this program will be canceled.
