Make and Create: Bibliotherapy Zines
Monday, April 13, 2026 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Learn about zines and create your own! Explore your relationship with books and reflect on the connection between your identity, community, and culture. Share your lived experience in a little publication called a zine.
Attendees will receive a Zine Making Kit to take home and continue making zines after the event.
Attendees will have the chance to make a copy of your zine and add it to our Zine Collection. This collection is available for everyone to read in the library and for card holders to check out just like a book. Have your voice heard by your local community and check out what other zinesters are thinking and making in their zines.
Learn more about bibliotherapy and the power of books by attending the 7th Annual Augusta Baker Lecture featuring Emely Rumble.
We value inclusion and access for all of our customers including those that may need Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations. Please complete this ADA accommodation request form at least two weeks prior to the event to make a reasonable accommodation request.
Have questions about the program? Please reach out to a staff member at the hosting location for additional information.
